The Vance at Huebner Oaks

I am visiting family who lives at Vance. Very disappointed the pool is closed. Management has been saying for weeks it would be fixed. Elevator breaks constantly. Remote app to get in walking gate hasn't workedsince I have been here, hence the rock people place shown in picture. Drive in gate alway open because it is broke. I feel so secure (sarcasm). Don't plan on grilling or using fire pit(see pictures). And the place is full of liter and common areas aren't clean. Oh, don't let me forget to mention the gym is not maintained.

I moved here almost 2 years ago and unfortunately I have not been impressed with the security here. When I first moved here, it didn’t seem to be an issue, but in the last week alone, 2 cars have been robbed of all 4 wheels & 1 motorcycle was stolen from the complex. The gates since I moved in have not been functioning. They were recently fixed but that only lasted for maybe a few weeks before breaking and being completely open to the public at all hours. It’s unfortunate because I really liked this complex, but I no longer feel safe leaving my car or belongings anywhere in the complex with the MAJOR lack in security & lack of accountability.

Place was decent when I first moved in but has progressively gotten worse. The front gate remained open for over a year and a half. This lead to multiple burglaries including my motorcycle FROM MY GARAGE, all four of my visiting brother's car wheels, along with four other vehicles. They used to have a patrol vehicle drive twice a night the first year I moved in but that stopped with the change in management. Soon after is when the break-ins and burglaries increased in occurrence. I guess they valued the cost savings over their residents belongings and safety. Dog feces was constantly in hallways and other common areas (beyond dog park). There were apartments I reported for having feces on the balcony on multiple occasions with no recourse. Health, safety, and security should not be secondary concerns especially for the price and area. The interior of the apartments (at least 1 bedroom) are nice and I like the design but everything else definitely now makes this place unlivable. If the above problems don't concern you then it's a decent deal for the location at current prices. I was in building 3 so maybe that was the worst one and the other ones fared better but I'm not willing to make that gamble. New update: Good luck trying to get decent contact by phone. You'll be greeted with an automated voice system that makes it difficult to talk with anyone at the office. The system does it's best to redirect you to their central office (aka call center). The kicker is they can't even pronounce the name of the apartments correctly.

Where do I start.. we have been living here since Aug 2019. This place used to be decent and was worth the rent for the pool and gyms available and “security” of living here. But it seems this place is just progressively getting worst. Takes forever to get get maintenance request to get taken care of. Gate is always open and now cars are missing tires. The pool was so green that they haven’t been able to get it open yet and it’s already the middle of May!! That’s basically why we pay for this place. There’s cracks literally all over our apartment, crooked doors and now… a cockroach infestation!! We’re super clean and have had to purchase our own pest control solutions to help minimize the amount we see. They stole my vacuum from my porch and packages get stolen… they never answer the phone and well it’s just a mess. If I could give 0 stars I would, I can’t wait for my lease be over.

Pool has been out of commission for what the past month and a half and has really only been open for about a month the entire summer. First they told us there was a chlorine shortage but I’ve been to plenty of other communities with pools and there did not seem to be any shortages. The phase 2 gym is closed and no one has access to it Phase 1 gym is finally open I love my townhome but the amenities are what we resigned for. It’s really unfortunate that we pay so much to not have access to things within our community. Good luck getting answers from the office staff because it won’t happen. Do your research and do not be blinded by the way things look.
